IRC has slowly become an integral part of the GFF community, and to those who make #gfchat a fun place to hang out, we give this award.

Yearly Descriptions

2003:

  • "Not all the action happens on the boards. Who's the best chat room member?" -- Sword Serenity

2004:

  • "You can probably trace over 50% of the stupidity on Gamingforce to its associated chatroom, #gfchat, on the Xelium network. (Shameless plug) And although it's admittedly stupid, it's all in good fun. If you're not visiting #gfchat, at least now and then, then you don't know what Seabiscuit and Van Helsing have in common and that's a damned shame.

Who brings deep, inspirational meaning to the vaste wasteland of...waste that is #gfchat?"
(For all intents and purposes, #icetron may be substituted for #gfchat when considering nominations.) -- Crash Landon

Editors Note: Due to an unfortunate server crash, the 2005 award descriptions are unavailable.

2006:

  • "In addition to our messageboard, Gamingforce supports a thriving, if not always productive, IRC community. This community spans several channels on the Xelium servers, and has been responsible for many of the catchphrases that have appeared on the boards. Further, members who may not be overly active on the board may make their presence very much known in chat.

What member has contributed the most to chat's place in Gamingforce? Include board username, IRC handle (where different from board ID, and the IRC channel(s) where the member conducts the activity that earned their nomination." -- Lord Styphon
