Best Journal

From GFWiki

The journal system provides a place for users to air their thoughts, feelings, grievances, or just be plain retarded without fear of moderation. Each year we give this award to those whose journals we can't get enough of, keep up the good work people!

Yearly Descriptions

2004:

  • "More than just gushing angst or random comments about History class, some people actually put effort into their Journals. They fill them with amusing anecdotes, funny images, interesting questions, thoughtful commentary...and more. Unfortunately it's not always easy to generate viewers. For this reason, many great Journals go largely unappreciated despite their owner's best efforts. Thank God for categories like this, huh?

Whose Journal do you think deserves the most recognition for consistently providing entertainment or thoughtful comments?" -- Crash Landon

2006:

  • "Whilst GFF is a message board primarily, our superb journal system is the envy of head admins everywhere and provides a unique counterpoint to the main boards.

Some journals stand out from the crowd for various reasons. Some are funny, some are a focus for community drama, some are repositories of poetry and art and some are mind-dumps of possibly unhinged individuals. This award should go to the individual who has done the most to reduce the PPD of the boards to a trickle over the last year and who's personal rambles are worthy of recognition beyond all others." -- Lord Styphon

2007:

  • "Most people here use the journal system. Some people use it to share the details of their daily life with the world, some use it to review computer games, some to share YouTube clips, some to bitch at other members and some for just all kinds of random crap. Whatever, it's clear that some journals are better than others and this award is for the journal that you consider to have been consistently the best over the year.

The best nomination posts in this thread will include links to some highlights of the journal in question and possibly a quoted entry or two." -- Shin
