Final Fantasy X-Jew
From GFWiki
In late 2002, a member named ShadowXOR created a thread in the Creator's Cafe to showcase his Final Fantasy X-Jew image (shown below). The thread was later moved to The Sewers, and spawned a slew of Jew jokes and photo manipulations by various members. Eventually, NYRSkate closed it, and told everyone to "put your skullcaps back on".
The Final Fantasy X-Jew image
ShadowXOR's image, a modified version of the Final Fantasy X-2 logo, was created to reinforce Shadow's personal name for FFX-2. It was created because: 1) Shadow hates FFX-2, 2) Shadow often calls things he doesn't like "Jewish", and 3) "two" just happens to rhyme with "Jew". While ShadowXOR holds no dislike towards Jewish people, he finds Jewish culture amusing, and likes to make it the tool of many jokes.
The thread
Having just created the image, ShadowXOR asked his good friend Kaleb.G where he could showcase it. Kaleb suggested the Creator's Cafe at Gamingforce, as hilarity was sure to ensue. And thus, the thread was made. Near the start of the thread, many accusations of bigotry were made, with ShadowXOR trying to defend himself. Kaleb, using a fake account with the name of "LoneShadow", then posted in the thread to explain ShadowXOR's position. Thinking that LoneShadow was just ShadowXOR, everyone's attention was drawn to it. The folks at GFF then kicked into full swing with their creations.
