GFF Annual Awards
From GFWiki
The GFF Annual Awards, which are considered a yearly ego-booster by some, are a yearly event (since 2001) held to celebrate the best and worst of the GFF community. Back when custom titles were only set by moderators, the winner of an award was presented with a user title. Various image "certificiates" have been presented to the winners over the years.
The awards are held in their own subforum (which is then archived in the Trophy Room), with an initial nomination phase and then a poll for each category consisting of all of the nominees. To see a detailed list of category descriptions and award images, click the award name.

Named (Retired) Awards
Let's face it, some people are just much better than some things than everyone else is. Some GFFers were so good that we had to name the damn award after them so they couldn't win it every single year. In 2007, an effort was made to simplify the way the awards are handled, as part of this initiative named awards were dropped (due in no small part to lack of activity from those the awards were names after), several were renamed, and the rest were retired.
