From GFWiki
A member group started by Bradylama on October 9th, 2005, the Gaminghorde is a GFF metagaming group for the free html-based MMO, Urban Dead (http://www.urbandead.com). The Gaminghorde is exactly that, a horde of zombie players who are also GFFers, though group membership in Urban Dead isn't GFF-exclusive.
The Gaminghorde was intended to present itself as a general gaming-themed group that revolves around the Rotting Chocobo, and incorporates a few GFF in-jokes, as well as vague gaming references into its iconography.
Origin
After being introduced to the game by Garr, Bradylama created the group in order to help overcome the shortcomings of zombie players in the game, as well as to provide a community-related gaming event which everybody on the boards could enjoy, regardless of the power of their PCs. Bradylama's player character Wooz, a reference to the PCRPG Fallout 2, is credited in the UD wiki (http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/Gaminghorde) as to being the cause of the Gaminghorde's presence in the game world of Malton.
- From the Gaminghorde Urban Dead wiki:
- The Gaminghorde was gathered by members of the Gamingforce Forums (http://www.gamingforce.com/forums/). Supposedly there was a "GFF Meet: Malton" where a certain "Wooz" expected to get some "Tragic" in. Upon his arrival, however, everyone was playing DDR and Katamari, and had never heard of the Tragic card game. After trying to break the ice with a joke about a floating head, Wooz exclaimed, "This is gay! You guys are gay! I'm blowing this sausage fest!" Leaving under derisive laughter, Wooz left the meet to drown his sorrows in booze.
- The meet took place, of course, the night of the outbreak, and Wooz was assaulted by an unidentifiable creature. When he awoke as a zombie, he shuffled back to the meet and summarily devoured everyone.

History
- After its founding, the Gaminghorde grew to 30 members within 3 days.
- The first planned raid for the group failed when it was apparent that no members had the ability to open safehouse doors.
- On Wednesday, October 12th, the computer being used by Bradylama suffered the effects of a boot virus mere hours before the scheduled attack. When people showed up in the Gaminghorde chat room many quickly lost interest and dispersed.
- GFF went down for 5 days shortly after, and with no way to contact many members of the Gaminghorde, the group remained stagnant within the gameworld.
- Once GFF came back up, an attack could finally be organized. On October 17th, despite a depressingly low turnout, the attack was still technically a success. The Gaminghorde invaded a Heavily Barricaded safehouse, the strongest there is. Even though there was only one guy, and everybody ran out of AP just getting into the building, it was a great victory that was sorely needed.
- Although the turnout remained low (around 10 members) each time, subsequent organized raids were extremely successful. The most recent highlight was an attack on a strongly barricaded police department, which deprived about 48 "fleshies" of a secure hiding place (and a good number of their lives as well). In total, 20 humans were devoured by Gaminghorde members. An uknown number of humans were also killed by zombies wandering into the open police station. As of 4:40 AM GMT, on October 24, the Police Department was bereft of any survivors.
