The Political Palace was intended to be a place where members would discuss politics and thought. In its early days it was a place of much intelligent discussion over moral and philosophical issues, but eventually topics ran out and people grew tired of acting smart. Now the forum is generally a place where nasty things happen, and gay threads just can't seem to die out. (in both the literal and figurative sense of the word gay)

Large personalities in the PP currently include Lord Styphon, Night Phoenix, adamgian1, Bradylama, Pangalin, RacinReaver, and Wild Violence. Members such as Phleg still carry a lot of weight, but don't post as much as people would like them to.

The Forum atmosphere is divided on liberal-conservative political lines, though the number of libertarians have increased slowly over the years. Shifts in strength between the two schools of policy have gone back and forth, though the most dreaded partisan bickering occurred during the days of Random Walker, Exdeath, and BaneTek, the Super Conservatives.

Currently the forum is moderated mostly by Lord Styphon, Bradylama, and RacinReaver.
