Secret Santa

From GFWiki

How it Works

Gamingforce Secret Santa is a Christmastime event, obviously. It's a great way to give and receive from your GFF buddies during the holidays with little-to-no-effort.

Members (with a certain postcount requirement) sign up with whomever is in charge that year. The said member provides the organizer with their address and some of the small presents they'd like to receive from another GFFer that Christmas.

Usually, there are two levels to sign up under: The $10 Gift Giver and the $25 Gift Giver, for obvious reasons.

The organizer then takes all the names, addresses, and personal preferences and hands them out in a giant loop. For example: Say Jack, Jon, Joe and Jess sign up this year. The organizer will take Jack's information and pass it on to Jon. The organizer arranges for Jon to send to Joe, and Joe sends to Jess who sends to Jack. It's a large loop - this way, everyone gets a person and it's easy to tell where the lines get cut. He can make 2 loops, according to the level of the gifts being sent. It makes it a lot cleaner and a lot easier to organize.

The History

Originally Zephyrin's idea, this Secret Santa business has been happening for three years on Gamingforce now. Very few people get stiffed when receiving gifts, despite any holiday delays.

After the Zephyrin ban, Wild Violence took over and has maintained the Secret Santa project for the past 2 years.

If You Fuck Up the Event

The organizer will have a list. And you will be on it. If you act like a dick and skimp out on your gift for your assigned member, Miles testifies "that people who didn't send a gift like they were supposed to had the custom title 'scrooge' with a non-removable scrooge avy =D"

So don't fuck it up, please.
