This award was given to those on GFF who continuously "kept it real". Don't laugh, that's the only way I could think of putting it. :(

2003:

"When there was something that needed to be said, we could always count on Mickee to say it like it was. Such was the prowess of Mickee's outspokenness, that even those who swore in the 'skip letter' style (f**ker!) were frowned upon and encouraged to curse in the proper, unrestrained way Mickee championed." -- Sword Serenity

"The legendary journalist, Walter Cronkite, used to end each broadcast with the phrase "And that's the way it is." The gruff Mickee must've taken this perspective to heart because that's exactly how he addressed the world through his posts. Mickee didn't mince words; if he thought you were stupid, he said so in no uncertain terms. His opinions were clearly defined and his statements unerringly direct. There was never any mistaking where Mickee stood on any issue, and that's the way he liked it. Although he hasn't been alone in this outlook, nobody since has quite been able to match the brusque honesty that Mickee brought to every discussion. For this, we recognize Mickee's unique skill at being true to himself.
