Yearly Descriptions

2003:

  • "Who has skills with hand drawn art that blows you away?
Link us to some samples too. Let's see what makes them the best." -- Conventional Media, Sword Serenity

  • "Who is the finest of the fine using digital medium?
Also, include links to the person's art and specific artworks that you think are winners. Looks like we're in for some eye candy." -- Digital Media, Sword Serenity

2004:

  • "Inks, paints, brushes and canvas. Pencils, charcoal, crayons and markers. These represent the common tools of the conventional artist and many of our members have shown the ability to put them to exceptional use. Dazzling anime images, soft, gracious curves and wild, comical characters have all been spotted running through the Creator's Cafe.

If you aren't in the habit of browsing the collections, you're missing a smorgasbord for the eyes.
Which of our resident, conventional artists has that special brushstroke of genius?" -- Conventional Media, Crash Landon

  • "Forget the old ways! This is the new Renaissance, an era of endless graphic capabilities. The only limit is your imagination! Where students of the arts once faltered with clunky brushes and messy pigments, these elements lay themselves down with the simple touch of a mouse button. A new millenium demands a new approach and our Creator's Cafe regulars are on the pulse of the digital edge. With breathtaking backgrounds and luscious colors that would otherwise take years to master, the envelope of creativity is being pushed further each day.

Which Gamingforce member has best learned the divine secrets of the binary DaVinci code?"
    (I know it's a bad joke. Deal.) -- Digital Media, ^___^

Editors Note: Due to an unfortunate server crash, the 2005 award descriptions are unavailable.

2006:

  • "Gamingforce's artists are a large and productive segment of the community. Not spending much time looking at what they produce, I can't say much beyond that.

Which artist has been the best this year?" -- Lord Styphon

2007:

  • "Anyone can pick up a pencil and draw but for some people, that ability develops into full on artistic talent. For others, that artistic flair manifests as skill with computer art packages or 3D modelling programmes. Anyway, there's some seriously talented artists here at Gamingforce and specifically, in The Creators Cafe. This award is for whoever you consider has shown themselves to be the best artist at GFF over the past year." -- Shin
