"Gamingforce is a community founded on the sharing of video game music. No matter how we've evolved over the years, a love of listening to music from computer games outside of the context of the game is still a major uniting force here.

In the wider GFF community there are people with a wide range of experience and knowledge of VGM. From someone like me who owns only music he's downloaded from the annual best tune contests to some of the ftp runners who seem to have pretty much every tune ever to have escaped from a Japanese synthesizer, we all slot in somewhere in the knowledge hierarchy. Certain members appear to have an almost unhealthy obsession with VGM in fact. They collect every tune going in every remixed form, they can tell you not only who wrote One Winged Angel but who conducted it, who played second cello and the name of the assistant sound engineer's dog. Not only are these people full to bursting with VGM knowledge but they are gurus, teaching others the ways and providing more information than anyone could ever possibly ask of them.
